Production coordinators and designers wanted in Culver City, California
Sony Pictures Animation was founded in 2002, following the success of Sony Pictures Imageworks’ contributions to Stuart Little 2 (as well as an ill-fated attempt to sell the VFX studio). The studio has since become an early and influential leader in stylized 3D animation, with productions like Hotel Transylvania, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and The Mitchells vs. the Machines.

Allissoon Lockhart’s advice for aspiring line producers
This week, I had an opportunity to interview Allissoon Lockhart, on Toon Boom Animation’s livestream, about her career and experience in animation production. Allissoon runs online classes about animation production and works as a line producer with studios like BRIKK and Glitch Productions.
Naturally, I asked Allissoon which qualities studios look for in a line producer. Her advice was to be familiar with as much of the production pipeline as possible:
“Once you get higher up, having a line producer who knows what happens from script to delivery on broadcast or streaming is really important.”
